Denis Kozhukhin is probably one of the most promising pianists of his generation.
22 years old pianist, Russian. Living in Italy Lake Como. Student of Dmitri Bashkirov in the High Music School Queen Sofia in Madrid and in the International Academy Lake Como.
Most important prize: 3rd Prize in Leeds International Piano Competition 2006.

Born in 1986, Russia, Denis Kozhukhin began to learn music with his parents at 4 and in Zhavoronok School at 6. He started to study in Balakirev School Natalia Fish at 8 to get a diplom with honor at 14.
In 2000-2007 he studied in the High Music School Queen Sofia with Dmitri Bashkirov and Claude Martinez- Menher. Also he had masterclasses with Elisso Virsaladze, Zoltan Koscis, Vitali Margulis, Stephan Kovacevich, Bruno Canino, Ralf Gotoni, Rosalin Tureck, Leon Fleisher, Claude Franck, Peter Frankl, Zahar Bron, Natalia Schahovskaya, Gerard Causse, Christian Ivaldi, Menahem Pressler and others. During these years he recieved a diploma with honor by the Queen Reina herself as a best student for a year and twice as the best chamber music group with his Cervantes Trio, which recorded a CD of Turina Trio (Sony special edition Queen Sofia Music School).
He won prices on International Piano Competitions: Tortona 1996 (Gran Prix, Italia), "In Svyatoslav Richter´s Memory" 1997 (Grand Prix, France), Alicia de Larrocha (Grand Prix, Andorra), Leeds International Piano Comptetition (3d price), Reuters Foundation Price (Verbier Festival & Academy). He participated in festivals like Progetto Martha Argerich (Lugano), Verbier Festival & Academy, A. Saharov Festival (75th anniversary of M. Rostropovich, N. Novgorod), Paloma O´Shea Summer Festival (Santander), Louvre Auditorium Series (Paris), Prestige Series (New York).
Denis has given solo recitals and played with orquestras in all Spain (Madrid, Santander, Granada, Malaga, Logroño, Gijon, Cordoba...), in Germany, France, UK, USA, Portugal, Russia, Belorussia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, Italy, Lithuania...
He is granted with a scholarship that BSI gives to young musicians.
Denis is now selected among the seven young pianists in the prestigious International Academy Lake Como.
