Welcome to Arcadia Musica

Without music, life would be an error.
Friedrich Nietzsche

The philosophy of Arcadia Musica is that music can make our world better. All kinds of musics but especially classical music (i.e. baroque, classical, romantic, modern and contemporary music) has a very special part to play.

However some people may consider classical music as an elitist type of art because it looks too complex, too serious to them. Wouldn’t there be a way to renew classical concerts and make them sound freer, more modern, more daring, and even more spectacular? Classical music may also mingle with jazz, pop, world or electronic music and combine with painting, poetry, dance, theatre, cinema, multimedia.

The final aim is to make culture, artistic excellence, Beauty, in a word, more accessible to the general public. It requires the highest quality and a spectacular dimension to get popular success. Searching for new time-space concepts for concerts, new scenographies that would create synaesthesia and realize some kind of total art would be a challenge for us.

Recommended by the genius conductor Lionel Bringuier, Nicolas Bringuier is accepted and welcome in Arcadia Musica! This talented French pianist has recorded 2 recents Schumann and Bartók cds for Audite which are really exceptional and acclaimed by the press.

Nicolas Bringuier, pianist
>> short resume

BARTÓK - Audite 2009

"
"Not yet 30 years of age, French pianist Nicolas Bringuier brings a vivacity to his performances that connects compellingly with the music of Bartók. While this repertoire is most emphatically not the sole province of young male pianists, it would be hard to resist Bringuier’s razor-sharp facility and comparably penetrating vision – absolute prerequisites for tackling these wonderful pieces." - International Record Review, 10.2009 - Mark Tanner
>> video

SCHUMANN - Audite 2007
"We seem to be in the middle of a Schumann fest as of late, and that is a good thing to me. The folks at Audite have openly stated that they don’t release recordings unless they feel the artist has something new to say, and Nicolas Bringuier certainly does. This is some of the most ingratiating Schumann on the market, and the SACD sound is truly spectacular, vibrant, warm, and a balm to the ears."
Fanfare - November 2007) 31.10.2007- Steven E. Ritter

Exclusive representation in Spain (+other Spanish-speaking countries) in collaboration with Askonas Holt.
>> short resume

First recording of Alexandra Soumm, young virtuoso of violin promised to a great future.
Bruch Concerto for violin in G major op.26, Paganini Concerto n°1 in B major, with the Rhenanie-Palatinat Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by G. Mark (Claves)
>> audio extract
